Hoofprint Bay field guide

Money Making & Cash Flow

Track boarding, training services, competition rewards and horse sales separately, alongside care, wages and upgrades. Net profit depends on your actual entries.

Which activities should I track for income?

Separate income streams

The official materials describe prize money, boarding and stud services. Record the amount received rather than substituting a historical demo price.

Count the costs

Subtract wages, horse care, upgrades and other expenses. An activity with high gross income can still be unprofitable after costs.

Use comparable periods

Choose one calendar-month label and one unit for all entries. If you use an in-game period, document its mapping outside the calculator; do not mix real-calendar and in-game periods in a comparison.

A dated cost reference, not guaranteed earnings

The launch trailer shop at 22 seconds lists Small Bale of Hay (5) for 20, Big Bale of Hay (20) for 80 and Sack of Grain (10) for 40 currency. Its staff scene at 25 seconds shows Fiete at 90 per day. Use these only as dated examples and replace them with your actual prices. A monthly wage entry must reflect the number of days you are accounting for; the calculator does not silently multiply the daily wage.
